There are some subjects we talk about all the time. Like customers, the market, strategy, performance. All the good stuff that occupies people in your seat. Then there are the others, like the problem team member, the out of step process, the consistent issue with delivery or supplies or scheduling or whatever it is that sucks time and attention every time you get together.
It’s a choice thing. We can continue to chew over the outcomes that disappoint us and the impact they have on what and how we do things around here – all the ways they get in the way of all the things we’d like to do – or we can talk about and commit to solving them and then do the things we agree to do, no matter the vested interests affected or egos that will be bruised.
