As you go

Tideway

The point of most decisions isn’t so much whether you take the left or right fork in the road, it’s that you take one of them and keep moving forward. Most left-right decisions have the effect of taking you around an obstacle, you still get where your going, you still have more trials to overcome, but making the choice means not wasting time at this particular junction.

Which means … make the decision and move on.

It doesn’t mean smashing through the obstacle. It doesn’t mean closing your eyes and ears and swinging with whichever way the wind is blowing. And it definitely doesn’t mean do whatever was suggested by the last person you spoke to.

It means give due attention to the evidence, talk with your team, remember lessons already learned, then choose your road and work it out as you go.

Skippy strategy: Make the decision and move on
