Decision day

Do whatever you can to avoid them, but sometimes there are no good options, just varying degrees of bad ones. Or maybe just one sub-optimal, we’re going to have to live with this for years, miserable choice. And you can hedge and wriggle and put it off for as long as you can put if off but … eventually … decision day comes.
Despite the glum faces, no matter how much scrabbling you were prepared to do to avoid where you find yourself, ignore the desire to look into a crystal ball and wallow in the shadows.
Make the decision, put one foot in front of the other, and make the best of what comes next. Every thought before is filled with the doubt of the imagined but unknown. Every day, every action, every manoeuvre after shines reality and nudges things towards bearable, better, ok, good.
