The obvious choice
Everyone has their own level for discomfort with unknowns.
Some of us handle weeks of ambiguity and rough guesses with a flick of the wrist, others’ temples…
It can be tempting to shy away from the obvious choice. To work a bit harder, to hunt down alternatives, turn over wild cards, dig a little deeper.
But sometimes – just sometimes – the perfect fit, the right candidate, the ideal match is right there, standing in centre field with their hand in the air, wearing the biggest smile with an arrow over their head.
So work the process, treat all candidates the same, consider the view.
And if the obvious choice comes out top, forget it was obvious or boring or exactly what everyone else would do. Remember it was right choice at the right time for you.
