Where’s the data?


Yep. Absolutely. No doubt you can act on a hunch. You can bet the farm if you like. There might be a market for turnips. If that’s what you think, it’s entirely up to you. It’s your money, your time, your field – you can do whatever you feel is right.

For the rest of us – when it’s investor money, staff time, company resources – where’s the data.

If you have a hunch, even a good one, what do you have to support it? Where does the feeling come from, what do you see that we can’t see, how can you support the idea objectively?

You think there’ll be more click-throughs on a green button rather than the blue one. Where’s the evidence? What split testing have you done? What’s the upside? How will we know for sure in a full role out?
