Wouldn’t it be lovely if everyone did everything exactly as and when you expect.
More than lovely, it would be a miracle.
Because people don’t do what they say they’re going to do. They don’t call back, they don’t respond to their email anytime soon. They sit on things and sit on things and sit some more. They don’t apply the attention you want at the time you want it. They frustrate.
So you have some choices.
– Sit around yourself.
– Get on with something else.
– Hustle.
Assuming one is never and option, and two is not an option this time because this thing is The Most Important Thing and simply has to happen soon … you’re left with hustle.
What to do?
Everything you can to chivvy things along. Call, email, visit, prod, poke, suggest, propose next steps, re-work the draft, doorstep, add energy everywhere.
