Then what?
The morning after, the day after that, the day after that.
After the ink, reality.
What mattered before matters again. For those around you it never stopped. Now it’s time to swing your knees back under the table, focus on the normal-again, take the levers in hand and work the controls.
It is an anticlimax.
Respect that. Let it wash. For about five minutes. Not because it’s the right thing to do, but because there’s so much else to do. Making the deal make sense, delivery, tooling up, building the team, operations, strategy, the next thing and the next.
Take a breath. Move on.
