Cut-through
Of course, you set the agenda, you prioritise the big things and if you’re doing things right you bring everyone to the same page and point everyone in the same direction. Of course, your personal agenda mixes with the corporate, your priorities are the organisations priorities, your emphasis shows everyone else where their emphasis should be. Of course.
And.
You are dust buster. You blow through obstacles, make connections, you let Slot B know that Tab A is looking for some help and sometimes you get involved in guiding them together.
It’s the others side of setting the agenda. It’s the side that says … we’re all working on the same goals and if anyone is struggling to get cut-through, if anyone is failing to get attention and make the necessary connections, then it’s my job to break down the barriers.
