Little progress
It’s difficult, we’re unsure of the next steps, we can’t see exactly how we’ll do it but we’re clear that we want to do it – we have the people to do the work and the money to fund it, the only question is over the time. Let’s give it another week or two, a month tops.
A week goes by, a month, two months. We’re so close. Another week, another month.
Some things are hard. Harder than you thought, harder than the people you have on your team can cope with. In the end, it’s not a question of time – although that’s a huge part of the calculus – it’s a question of how willing you are to make the tough choices: about the objective, the value of the benefit, the availability of money, the people on the team.
Skippy strategy: When you’re making little progress, something has to change.
