Melt the treacle
Oh my! Everything takes so long. You know what you want to do and you know how long it should take, and then it takes twice or thrice or seven times longer. And more than that. And then, rear view mirror, how long it’s taken to get here. And at the end of the week, or the month, everything feels pretty much like it did last week, or month, or year.
It’s deceptive. Sure, everything takes longer than you’d like. But take a minute to look back and see just how far you’ve come. It might have felt like wading through treacle, and two steps shuffling for every shuffle the other way, but you did move forward, the vines have grown and you’re in a better place today than you were the last time you took a minute.
Skippy strategy: Melt the treacle when you can, and keep moving forward.
