A while back you set up systems and process to do things the way you wanted them done. You set your people up with jobs and responsibilities that made sense. Put metrics and management in place.
Today, from your end of the telescope, not much has changed.
The systems still need to run, processes need to be followed, the people should be performing their roles they way you agreed. Right? And all those measures and management tools … they’re rolling along, doing their thing and everything looked good last time you checked.
Maybe everything is just as you left it. Maybe the needle is in the middle of the dial. Maybe everything is working just great. Maybe not.
Maybe the world has clicked around and the careful design is now designed to miss. Maybe the people are off plan. Maybe the metrics miss their mark.
