Prepare, do

Binion's

Plan, plan, plan, plan, plan, plan, plan, do … is very different from prepare, prepare, prepare, prepare, prepare, prepare, do … is very different from prepare, do, prepare, do, prepare, do, prepare, do, prepare, do, do, do, do.

There’s a difference.

(Let’s not … just talk about, muck about, procrastinate, fiddle, pretend, get distracted, try for a bit, avoid the issue, get stuck in at the last minute, rush, rush, rush.)

Of the options, order of preference is largely in reverse order.

All plan and very little do has it’s place; bust mostly when the journey is entirely to be taken inside your head. (Almost never.)

Mostly preparation followed by near-perfect execution is the way to go for a one-hit, no second-chances, demonstration of performance chops. (Extremely rare.)

Mixing preparation and doing gets the most learning, most potential for course-correction and most work done. (Almost always best.)

Skippy strategy: Prepare to act, act.
