Stick or twist?

Twist

You’re trying to do things in your organisation that haven’t been done before. That’s the point. Maybe the goal is a consistency that’s been lacking, or developing a new product, or building a process, or systematising an innovation, or … all the other things you’re doing to make the organisation the place you want it to be.

In that change, there’s plenty that’s working the way you hoped. Progress is being made. Things are moving forward. But some things aren’t on track. Some are moving slower or entirely stopped in their tracks.

Assuming you won’t (can’t) sit and watch from the sidelines, what are you going to do about it?

Gather your team, especially the progressives. Start with the question, what isn’t working? Then ask why. Decision time: to stick to the plan (and accept what that means) or twist for alternative courses.

Skippy strategy: The question of the day, stick or twist?
