Stop the race

Running along, one foot in front of the other, moving forward, people all around you, everyone independent but travelling together.
Then the kid says, “Where you going?”
And the truth is … you really don’t know.
Plenty of effort, but no clear direction. Running fast going nowhere.
Stop the race.
It takes discipline. It costs time. We’re all too busy. But what about …?
Sometimes, the only important job is to stand still, stand together, and make active choices about what happens next. Left or right? North or south?
