The real work

We all have jobs that need doing, a too-long to-do list, big projects and ambitious targets and grunt work and difficult conversations and lots of little things that call us … but that somehow we manage to put off in favour of the fire-fighting and squirrel-heading attention grabbers that put themselves in our path every day. That make voluntary tasks that little bit more difficult to volunteer for.
The real work … if you want to do anything other than watch the world turning under your feet … is finding time.
The real work … if you want to make a difference – is finding the resolve.
The real work … if just getting on with it.
The real work … is working out the steps of the journey and putting one foot in front of the other.
