Undistracted space

Tower

There’s no substitute for putting the time in. That’s not a request for presenteeism. It’s a request to respect the situation and put in whatever time is necessary to work the issues and come up with a solution. The time might come from you – likely that at least some of it will – but it definitely has to come from someone, and maybe from plenty of someones closely coordinated and working in concert.

It means spending the time to get a good understanding of the what and the why and the when of the thing. It means finding the right people for the team and giving them undistracted space to do their thing. It means pulling all the pieces together, one day after another, a long march, until you arrive in a better place than you started.

Skippy strategy: You can skimp (but why would you?), or you can put the time in.
