Waste of time

That meeting you just had, the one you thought was a waste of time, the one that everyone else thinks was a waste of time. That one. Maybe it was a waste of time. What happens next is up to you.
Option one, the least productive but the most common option, is to do nothing and say nothing (except moan) about it, just accept meetings being a waste of time are table stakes for the odd occasion when they actually make sense.
Option two, refusing the meeting next time the invitation pings into your inbox, at least means you can do something productive with the time.
Option three, working with the organiser (you?) to make sure objectives are set, only the right people attend, decisions are made and actions are committed and communicated.
Great teams choose option three.
Skippy strategy: If the meeting is a waste of time, change it.
