Just say it
Every person in the team has their place. Developers develop, project managers manage projects, brick layers lay bricks, salespeople sell, operations operate.
And so the world goes…
You could drop hints, hope they notice the expression on your face, point out something good and prey they understand you’d like them to be more like that.
You could try leaving breadcrumbs in the forest. Might work. They might notice them down there amongst the leaf litter. You never know, they might see the wood for the trees.
More likely … they’re busy, wrapped up in their own world doing what they always do.
So if you want to say something, take away all the clever devices and half measures and just say it straight. Be kind, but leave them in no doubt what you want to say.
When you want to get a message across … use the direct route.
