Let them know

Almost everything is a collaboration. And when people help – at the end of the meeting, for the introduction, after the effort, in the heat of the moment – you say thank you.
The work is done, there’s a warm glow, and everyone moves on to their next thing.
Sometimes though, the pay off doesn’t come straight away. A funding bid, a contract won, a job offer, a fly-past of Pluto. Everyone knows their work is over and their part was small, but they’re still invested in the outcome.
Let them know.
We all want to know we made a difference and no one likes a dangling thread.
