Be the one

It’s definitely easier in the moment to ignore it, not to follow up, to leave things hanging until someone else picks them up. It’s definitely less work to do the absolute minimum, to sit in port unless someone encourages you to take the trip. It’s definitely a recipe for a more relaxing life, to never be the instigator, to never lead the charge.
Or, you can be the one they rely on, the one who takes the baton and runs with it at the best of their ability before passing it on to the next motivated hand that reaches out. You could be the one that’s trusted to do the job and do it well. You could be the one who gets things started, nudges them along, and keeps on keeping on until they’re done.
One way is easier. One way is much more intereting.
