Being busy

A lot of us spend a lot of time being extremely busy. Running from one email to the next, one meeting to another, jumping into and out of crisis mode seven times a day. We’re busy being busy. Then someone asks what you’re doing, and instead of hearing it as a question about your day, you hear it as a question about your month or your quarter, your year.
What am I doing? Is this the way I want to spend my time? Is this the wy I should spend my time? Am I just spinning plates? What am I trying to achieve? What do I want to be different in a year, other than the date?
Now you have a choice. Ignore those questions, or answer them. Get back to being busy, or work out what all that busy-ness is for.
