Difficult people
Difficult people have a special way of being difficult. It’s not what they do or don’t do, you can handle that. It’s that you don’t know how to deal with them.
Should you dig in and actively engage I their world? Unravel all their complexity they create by taking things on and sorting them out on a line-by-line basis? Smooth over their relationships for them, organise around them? Or should you cut your losses and remove them from the fray with all the special difficulties and inherent risks of finding someone else to do the work.
And what about when they’re on the other side of the table and you have no choice but to deal with them or walk away?
The easy/difficult answer: whatever it takes to get them out of your frame and move forward with the right kind of people.
Skippy strategy: Difficult people: avoid, remove, walk away.
