Little obstacles

There are always obstacles. Some seem to have an impact far greater than their size. They’re the stones that stop the gears from moving.
The obvious step: remove the stone and oil the wheels. Add a little cash, some extra capacity, just the right tool … and lever that blockage free.
Things start moving again and all is good with the world.
Except sometimes you deal with the stone and the wheels still don’t turn. Maybe there’s a bigger stone deeper in the mechanism? Maybe it was a diversion that disguised another problem?
The thing is, if you keep removing the blockages, eventually there’s only day-to-day grit or someone looking for excuses and a new place to hide.
Remove the obstacles and you strip away the excuses too.
