Being so busy, spinning so many plates, wrangling so much email, working so many lines, it’s easy to narrow your focus to just the very next step. And when you make that step, successfully or otherwise, whilst you know there’s more to it than that, your event horizon falls once again to the next step. And then the next. Step. Step. Step.

It happens to you, it happens to everyone.

Eyes towards the horizon … Are you winning?

It forces you – and anyone else you ask – to define and consider the longer game you’re playing.

What is the game, who are the players, how would we know if we’re winning, what are the indicators, what and where is the finish line, are we making progress?

Skippy strategy: Every time you look in the mirror,  every time you see someone on your team, ask the question and mine for a thoughtful answer.
