Questions of Leadership: #2 What are you working on?

Busy, busy, busy. Always so busy. The day to day, the fire fights, the breathing in and breathing out. But what bigger picture thing are you working on? How are you trying to move the space ship forward?
This is another one of those, good for you and good for anyone you meet type questions. If it’s you, seriously, what are you trying to achieve, what strategic shift, what new product or capability or any other thing are you trying to bring to the world?
If it’s someone else, not only will you learn something you didn’t know, you’ll also learn which of your team has a strategic bent, who amongst all the people you meet are most interesting, and maybe even how all of them think?
And when someone asks you, guess what they’re trying to work out.
