Two people or teams or organisations: one knows, the other guesses. One marches, the other scurries. One is loud and proud, the other quiet and nervous.

The difference is confidence.

It comes from the whole organisation. It comes when everyone knows what they’re doing, why they’re doing it, and the impact they make on the company and the customer.

It takes time and thought and evidence, a clear vision and a belief that this is the way.

And when the evidence shifts? The arrogant keep going. The confident put their hands up, think again, pull together and change direction.

Skippy strategy: What troubles you, what makes you nervous? What’s holding your team back and making them hedge? How could you strike out the unknowns?
