The waters
If it can go wrong it will go wrong. The parts will break, the supplier will let you down, the train will be late, the waters will chop, the laptop will be mangled and the presentation toasted, you will forget, they will forget, your competitor will leap, your champion will move, the bell will ring, or it won’t.
It’s not that things go wrong. Everyone knows stuff happens, and almost everyone accepts that dealing with reality is better than jumping up and down about it.
So deal with it. Which really means … it’s how you deal with it that counts.
And how you deal with it is about the actions you take and the communications you make. Taking considered, measured steps to get us out of the hole we’re in … and keeping those that need to know in the actual know.
Skippy strategy: Deal with it, and tell them you’re dealing with it.
