Attention and feedback

It’s first thing in the morning and you’re firmly focused on the busy day and week ahead. Lots to do, some of it starting five minutes ago. Gotta be ready. Where’s the report? What’s in the report? Ok.
Breathe … and … off we go.
An hour later. On to the next thing, and the next, and the next.
It’s easy to broom-broom along in the busy-ness of the day, barely breaking or slowing for corners.
And that makes it easy to forget how you got here.
That report.
Who wrote it? When? Was it over the weekend? Did you appreciate the effort, the sacrifice, the commitment? Did you say so, did you say thank you? Did you give credit? Did you give feedback? Did you take an extra moment?
Even when it’s just people doing their job, they still deserve attention and feedback.
Skippy strategy: Take a moment to appreciate.
