Before going interesting

It’s not a question of whether to collaborate or not. Unless it’s a necessarily personal project of course you have to, of course you can achieve more when you work together and even more if you’re smart about it. Of course it’s the fastest way to untangle the internal loops and raise your eyes to a wider horizon.

The collaboration question then isn’t whether, it’s how? How can we work together most effectively, how can we chunk down the problem into right-size pieces, how will we organise the who and the what of the effort?

Travelling is always stressful, travelling in groups is even harder. There’s an organisational overhead. It means going slow before going interesting. It means time at the beginning sharpening your axe. It means finding your stride and building your process. 

Skippy strategy: Collaboration takes time and attention and is absolutely the only way. Get good at it.
