Call it

Every project has problems and every team mangles itself in the wringer every now and again. It’s the natural order of doing difficult things that break new ground. Short hand: it’s not easy.
There’s value in persistence and doggedness and grit and determination and bounce-back-ability. The slow march of progress that comes from showing up every day and doing the work.
And then there’s those times when it’s more difficult than it should be. When the focus turns to process rather than progress, when every step feels like moon-booting through treacle.
Not because of the work, but because of the people.
You can pretend that everything’s ok. Focus on the process too. Come up with structures and strategies and pin things together with scaffolding.
Or you can call it. And then work out what to do about it.
Skippy strategy: Deal with it every day, until you deal with it properly.
