In your corner
It’s possible that, working on your own over there in your corner, you’re brilliant and doing an amazing job. That all that you do is contributing to the whole and creating opportunities and potential that could be game changing … if only people knew what you’re up to.
The problem is your corner.
The problem is that not only are your team unaware of the opportunities, they’re also more likely to be skeptical of what they do find out because they have no insight into the process that created them. They’re likely to second guess or go around you.
Do things in the open.
Bring your team inside the process, explain the thinking and development, point to the leaps of faith and risks you’ve considered. Ask for their counsel, add their insight, multiply the muscle.
Make it a team game.
Skippy strategy: When you do your thing, do it in the open.
