Knottier problems

When there’s a problem, the diagnosis is normally a pretty straightforward affair. Everybody has an opinion and most of them can point exactly to the heart of the issue.

Next step is a healthy debate about the prescription – what exactly is the best treatment for the issue and how do we address the cause? Not for everybody, it’s a rarer talent than can drill down and work out what needs to be done.

For simple problems, it’s time to get on with putting Tab A in Slot B and tidying up as you go.

For knottier problems, prescription now has to deal with a complex and dynamic reality. At this level, it’s never as easy as it appears in the manual. How … in this place and with this team?

Skippy strategy: It takes smarts and grit and an ability to flex and bend – and still get it done.
