Natural splits

Redwoods

If you’ve had your team for any length of time you’ve noticed some natural splits. Some are the kind of people you always want to have around. They’re diligent, have a work ethic, get along with people, do what they say they’re going to do and do it to a creditable standard. They add energy to the room. They’re keepers.

Some aren’t.

Some suck energy away, they see and seem to relish the downside in everyone else’s ideas, they find difficulty and complexity, they focus in the wrong places and pull attention away from the right places. They have a knack for disappearing when the going gets tough and there’s always a reason why the thing they’re doing would be so much better if only for this, or that, or the other thing.

If your team looks like that, cleve at the split.

Skippy strategy: More of type A.
