Need to believe
When choosing partners, you need to believe.
That the future will be better together. That they’ll have your back. That when the fan takes a hit, they’ll stick around for the clean up. That they understand win-win is a long-term game. That they’ll link arms and shoulder the problems with you. That one and one makes three.
When they talk about partnership, but treat you like a supplier … believe the actions more than the words.
If they act like you’re a supplier … treat them like a customer.
No need to believe, you need see their cash.
One or two actions outweigh an awful lot of fine words.
When it comes to partnerships: look more than you listen.
Skippy Strategy: Work out whether you are (or need) a partner or a supplier. Act accordingly.
