Team rangers

Race

You want to take responsibility. You want your people to take responsibility. You want everyone involved to take on the job at hand and make sure it gets done, no matter the distractions and hurdles they meet on the way. You want focus. You want them to keep their eyes on the horizon as they do whatever needs doing to keep moving forward.

What you don’t want to be and don’t want to hire, is a lone ranger. The kind of person who trusts no one, thinks that getting things done means doing things themselves, never asks for help, finds themselves over their head but keep digging anyway, who fishes around, worries about what other people think, who wants to be the heroic saviour, who has an image to look after and doesn’t want to expose their weakness or share the glory.

Be, and hire, team rangers.

Skippy strategy: Trust.
