The sharp end

There are good days. When the when the sun shines and the customers smile and say thank you, when the code sizzles and sales frazzle, when all is just fine with the world.
Then there are bad days. We all know about them.
The thing is what you do about them.
For good days – say your thank yous, celebrate with everyone involved, pat backs, sing praises and remember to remember what this feels like next time you’re buried in a challenge.
For the bad days – say your thank yous to whoever helps, stand shoulder to shoulder and dig in on the remedial work, learn the lessons and put the processes in place to make sure it doesn’t happen again. Most important, support support support anyone handling things at the sharp end. These are the people you want to stay around.
Skippy strategy: Support the people who handle the sharp end.
