Too long


There are some people that you really want to work out. Not just because of all the benefit they can bring to the team, nor because there’s a job to be done and they’re the person who needs to do it. But, just because. Maybe because of their story, maybe because it resonates, maybe because they’re a friend or they were a friend, maybe it’s their circumstances. Something.

So when things go off, you give them a break, and another, you let it slide when their performance suffers or they don’t live up to the values, you overlook the feedback you’ve getting from other members of the team. They can turn it around! Right? They can pull it back with just a little coaching. They just need to be give a chance. Just you wait.

Will they? How long will you wait?
