Go right

If I say go left, and you say go right, which way do we go? Chances are, we hesitate, look at each other, try again, get confused, and go around for another try. Which might be trivial (maybe) unless we’re telling (and showing) our team how to act.

The moment we confuse is the moment we sow the seeds of doubt, distraction, confusion, cul de sacs, inaction, an excuse to work on what’s merely interesting and not what we’ve agreed to work on (because there was no agreement). The moment we side line or undermine the agreed workflow or decision making process is the moment we took our hands off the wheel and allowed things to carom down the fall-line.
