There’s nothing more satisfying that hitting Save, or Send, or wrapping up the file, finishing the presentation, shaking hands on the detail, signing the contract, assembling the parts, handing over the product, tying up the boat, finishing the sentence, switching off the light.
Done. Done. Done.
When we finish something, every time, we know that it only happens after we start the same something. Because we picked it off the to-do list and put it in the middle of the being-done list and kept on going until spiking it on the done list. Done. We brought the resources to the table, pulled them into shape, applied them to the task at hand, batted away distractions and worked it through. Done. We started the thing we committed to doing, and then we did it. Done.
