Took too long

Candles

It’s rare that we make decisions too early. Or at least, it’s rare we make an early decision we regret. That’s not because we have motivated and experienced guts that know what they’re doing and never lead us astray. It’s because we largely avoid making decisions until we have every, single, fact, and then take our own sweet time analysing (procrastinating) and scenario planning (even if it’s just in the shower).

And when we make the decision, it’s rare that we regret it. Again, that’s not because we then make perfect one-for-one decisions, it’s because making a decision lets us get on with things and we adjust as we go after that – not ruing the day we turned left, just accepting where we are and dealing with what we find.

The most common regret of all – that we took too long.

Skippy strategy: Today is almost always better than tomorrow.
