When you’re resisting

Whether it’s your natural inclination or not, sometimes the only way to organise your thoughts is to sit in front of a white board/screen/page and start writing stuff down. When you force yourself to put actual words on your surface or choice you also force yourself to pull things from the dark places in your head. This person, that number, those pieces of the pie. And on the way, you’re also forced to consider what and who not to include.
Now it’s all out there – whether you’re playing a team sport today or flying solo – what happens next with each part, how do they connect, what is the where and the when of the thing?
On the way through, even if you don’t come to a natural conclusion, you’ll have forced yourself to think, and that’s the first step.
Skippy strategy: Especially when you’re resisting, make yourself think.
