When it’s complicated
Old wisdom says you should make things as simple as they can be, and no more. So we strive for simplicity. To make it as easy as possible to understand where Tab A fits, and then as easy as possible to make it happen.
Sometimes though, as simple at can be is still pretty damn complicated. So many variables flying around and so much kept in our head that it’s impossible to see Slot B let alone line things up so it’s clear to all.
Except, it’s not impossible. It’s a job like any other. It may be complex, but you should still bring along everyone who needs to be brought along, you should still explain and clarify and explain and clarity, with visual aids and ketchup bottles moving around on the table if necessary. No excuses. Make it clear.
Skippy strategy: No excuses, find a way to make it simpler to understand.
