Dreams and edges
Sometimes we know when opportunity is breaking open the seals. We’ve been working towards it, dreamed about it, put in the hard yards, today is the day. We’re on it.
Sometimes it isn’t so obvious. It’s a little tap. A gentle curve.
However it sounds, there are always two questions being asked:
– What do you want?
– How would that work?
The one thing you don’t want to say … “I don’t know.”
“What do you want?” is about vision. In this conversation, with this person, for this opportunity … what would you like to achieve. Bold is good, clear and bold is better.
The “how” is a much more practical outworking of the vision. Biggish bullet points that make the vision possible, with detail as needed to let it fly.
Be ready for the curve, give it some edges.
