Nothing comes next

Most of us spend most of our time on the day to day. We make promises to our customers and staff and suppliers and partners. Then we keep them. We spend our efforts on making the money and the project and the processes all point in the right direction. We measure our metrics and keep on top of communications.
And if we’re lucky, we might squeeze five minutes in the middle somewhere to think about the next big thing.
So what about the next big thing?
Not so much what it is … more about how you’ll find more than five minutes to work out what you should be working on. Which means freeing your time and mind to do something beyond noodling.
Time to think – and time to act on the thinking – never comes easy. But if you don’t do it … nothing comes next.
