Running close

Ever had that feeling that you’re running close to the edge?
Taking too short a cut.
Not quite doing it.
An easy ride.
That if anyone looked too closely, asked too many questions, you’d struggle to explain with anything other than riddles?
Probably, (a strong bet), no one will look closely, or ask those difficult questions, and you’ll only struggle in those roll-around can’t-sleep moments. Probably.
Sometimes though, hmmm. It does come back to bite you – whether it’s a small thing or huge – the rework becomes a mountain and you wish you’d gone the other way.
The longer way, the firmer ride, the absolutely nailed. You end up doing it right in the end, it just takes twice the work and ten times the hassle.
Skippy strategy: When you get that feeling, and that little voice starts nagging, do the thing right.
