The X value

Sometimes it really does come down to a number. Sure, there are variables and contingencies and reasons and arguments if favour of a nudge to the left of a nudge to the right. But eventually, the entire conversation crystallises around the X value. It could be a monetary value, a count of quantity, a date in the calendar. Definitively, we’re taking about this. This. THIS.
It’s the first step to a decision.
Now that’s out of the way … we can actually talk about what we’re talking about.
We know we’re here, now, do we go left or right or carry on as we are? Or, seeing the reality in X, we need to stop and go back.
Whilst there’s a debate about what we’re debating, we won’t decide anything worthwhile. Pin it to a number.
Skippy strategy: Only when we know what we’re talking about can we make an actual decision.
