Throw on the lights

We all know risk averse types who seem obstinately, congenitally averse to risk. Forget about them. Eventually, they’ll convince themselves, or not, without any help from you.
So then, everyone else.
Even when you’re pushing at an open door with everyone is standing with you hoping for the glory beyond, they still worry about what might happen first.
Two things are on their hit list.
One: they’ll push open that door, step too quickly into the breach, and it will swing back and smack them in the nose. So find a way of propping it out of harms way, and give them time to see before they step.
Two: the bogey-man hiding in the shadows. Flood it full of light … show them all that is there, don’t rely on telling them.
You know, show don’t tell.
Skippy strategy: Opening doors can reveal surprises. Throw on the lights.
