Extra want

There are some people that you really want to work out.
Not just because of the benefits they can bring or because there’s a job to be done and you’ve finally got someone who can do do it.
But, just because.
Maybe it’s their story, or because it resonates, or because they’re a friend or were a friend, or they’ve had no breaks. Something. Something that adds some extra want.
So when things go off, you give them a break, and another. You let it slide when their performance suffers or they don’t live up to the values. You overlook the feedback you’re getting from other members of the team.
They can turn it around! Right?
They can pull it back with just a little coaching.
You just need to give them a chance.
