Manufacturing teamwork

Inside the organisation, it’s a fight. Or it feels like it. It’s easy to believe there are two sides to the table and you’re on one of them. On the other, an opposing view. Two sides doing battle over powerpoint and spreadsheets, to persuade and cajole, to carry the day.
One organisation, two viewpoints.
It doesn’t have to be that way.
Two sides to the table, maybe. The people sit beside you … and it’s the problem looking back.
Physically, sit beside each other. Literally. Try going on a road trip together. Side by side facing through the windscreen. Talking without staring. Looking without seeing the whites of their eyes. Sharing the journey. Making progress together.
It doesn’t have to be a car.
Walk to the bun shop together. Do the coffee run together. Get on the same team together.
