Choose your line

There are so many opportunities. There are too many opportunities. There are opportunities you’re interested in pursuing but can’t because of lack of resources. There are opportunities you would, if you could, but you’re focused somewhere else. There are some that, in an ideal world … but it isn’t.
Take on too many, they all suffer. Put too much on your collective plate, everything is starved of attention. Add just one more thing, and then another, you’ll be overwhelmed and under-delivered.
It’s not that they’re not interesting. It’s not that you don’t want to. It’s not that they wouldn’t be amazing. It’s that it’s not possible to do everything you can think of – it’s all about making choices. We choose to do this, we choose to do it well, and that means we can’t do this other thing. Choose your line.
Skippy strategy: You can’t do everything you can think of.
